At King's Academy Ringmer, we take mental health & wellbeing very seriously.  We are fully committed to supporting the emotional health & wellbeing of our students & staff and strongly believe that positive mental health is everyone's responsibility & that we all have an important part to play in order to maintain & improve our own & others' mental wellbeing.

Our wellbeing motto is "be yourself". We encourage all our students to be individuals & provide them with the tools & resources to be able to achieve this.

We aim to deliver our programme in the following ways:

  • Universal Support - To meet the needs of all our students through regular assemblies, PSHE lessons, MHEW themes throughout the year & through the ethos of the school & wider community.
  • Additional Support - Some students may require additional support, which may involve a 1.1 conversation with their tutor or our Wellbeing Practitioner.
  • Targeted Support - Some students may need more differentiated support such as 1.1 interventions with our Wellbeing Practitioner, referral to our Mental Health Service Team Practitioner, CAMHS or other specific professional support.
