KAR Newsletter - 12/01/2024

Dear Parents and Carers,

I hope you have had a good week. We have had a positive week at Ringmer, and I note that achievement points have been the highest of any week this year.

I am delighted to see that 85 students have applied for parts in our production of Matilda this year. This number is even more impressive given that it largely involves Years 7-10! I continue to be impressed by the creative spirit shown by our students.

This week we have had colleagues from other schools join us to support our ongoing work on the curriculum. They have been impressed by the behaviour and engagement they have seen in lessons, and commented specifically on how polite and articulate our students are. I have the pleasure of experiencing this every day, but it is always nice when these important areas are recognised by staff from other schools.

I will soon be sending out this term's parent survey, so please keep an eye out for this as your views continue to be important in moving our community forward. Our new parent group has proved to be an excellent addition already to the school, and I will be informing all parents of the date for the next meeting early next week. As I have said since arriving, the success of the school relies heavily on our collaboration, so I thank you again for the support.

I hope you have an enjoyable weekend.

Best wishes,

Mr Harvey

Principal
