Dear Parents and Carers,
I hope you have had a good week.
Firstly, thank you to all the parents, carers and families who attended our Summer Showcase on Wednesday evening. It was an incredible evening and once again showcased the very best of KAR through dance, drama and music.
The pride in the room was tangible, with a packed audience supporting our amazing students. A total of 65 students took part in the evening, which is around 10% of our school! To see so many children from Years 7 to 11 perform with such confidence, courage and passion was a real testament to their dedication.
A huge thank you also goes to all the staff who supported the evening, especially Ms Bailey and Ms Urquhart, whose exceptional work continues to provide such a brilliant platform for our students. The creative spark is very much alive and well at KAR!
Today, we also bid goodbye to Year 11. They have been a fantastic year group and we wish them every success for the future. Their final day includes the leavers’ assembly, shirt signing and, of course, a visit from the ice cream van to provide some well-earned treats.
Finally, the process is now well underway for Year 10 students applying for student leadership roles. We have already received a large number of applications, which is fantastic to see, and we look forward to interviewing students over the next few weeks.
Have a great weekend
Best wishes,
Mr Harvey
